My name is Lilly Schackow and I am a Junior at Lakeland Jr. Sr. High School. This year I have been given a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to join the battle and help those living with blood cancers. I have been nominated to participate in the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s 2021 Student of the Year Campaign. I could not be more excited to make a difference in the lives of patients across the country. I am very proud to lead my campaign team Anchor Down Against Cancer. We are working hard to reach our goal of $15,000 in 7-weeks – from January 14^th to March 4^th.

I am raising critical dollars in honor of young patient heroes who are battling or in remission and their families. My mission is to not only raise money but also bring attention to blood cancers like, Leukemia which is the number one most diagnosed form of childhood cancer.

Leukemia and Lymphoma Society is the largest contributor to blood cancer research in the nation. I am honoring all those who have and are battling blood cancers. I am also honoring the families of the people battling cancer. The money I am raising will go directly to LLS in support of its longstanding mission to find a cure and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. LLS has invested over $1 billion in research to this day. My campaign provides an opportunity to support the critical work of LLS in fighting these diseases.

All donations are greatly appreciated and are tax deductible. They'll not only support LLS funded research but will provide critical information and support for patients, and support advocacy for laws to ensure patients can access the care and treatments they need.
