Adina's Students of the Year Fundraiser
I learned about the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's good work when I signed up with Team in Training in 2006. They helped me train for and complete the San Diego marathon that June. An amazing feat for someone who isn't a runner. I was a Rebel Walker! A Rebel WITH A Cause! A few years later my sister was diagnosed with Hodgkin's, then my mom with follicular lymphoma. So, in 2016 I decided to join up with Team In Training again and raise more money for LLS. This year I have joined my friend Hope's daughter Ellie and her Students of the Year campaign team, Blood, Sweat and Cheers! More and more people are getting a chance to learn about the research their donations help support. Life-saving research!
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society funds leading-edge research for every type of blood cancer, including leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma, and other rare types of blood cancers. As the largest nonprofit funder of cutting-edge blood cancer research to advance cures, LLS has invested nearly $1.3 billion in cancer research since they started in 1949, leading to breakthroughs in immunotherapy, genomics and personalized medicine that are improving and saving the lives of patients.
Amber
A few years after my first experience raising money for LLS, my sister was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma. Grateful she received the treatment she needed and has been cancer free ever since. Donations to LLS help fund lifesaving research!

Five years ago my marathon training scheduled me for 14 miles on March 27th. Once around Lake Shawnee is 7. I was lucky to have a friend along for each lap. Jenni, then Jenn. I couldn't have asked for better companions that day. Since my Team In Training team was actually 70 miles away, I did most of my training on my own. But not this day! So grateful for all of the support I received, not just the donations to help fight blood cancers, but all of the cheers and support along the way!
Mom
It's been over 10 years now since my mom was diagnosed with follicular lymphoma. I am grateful for the fact that she was able to get the treatment she needed and she's still with us. I don't know what we'd do without her. I can't help but think it's in part due to the research that donations to LLS help fund! So please helps us continue to fight against blood cancers!

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page, welcome!
I encourage you to join me in supporting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) by making a donation to my fundraising campaign. By donating to LLS, you support the many facets of LLS’s mission work from investing in groundbreaking research, providing education and support to patients, and advocating at the state and federal level for legislation to help those living with cancer. My appreciation for your support cannot be overstated — each and every dollar donated to LLS brings us closer to our goal to end blood cancer and makes an impact for cancer patients and their families.
As a global leader in the fight to end cancer, LLS is committed to doing more for blood cancer patients and families than any organization in the world. LLS’s signature fundraising campaigns drive critical support for its mission, including a nearly $1.3 billion investment in cutting edge cancer research worldwide since it was founded in 1949. Since the 1960s, survival rates for many blood cancer patients have doubled, tripled, or even quadrupled.
Every facet of LLS’s mission – research, education and support, and policy and advocacy – work in harmony to put blood cancer patients and their families first. LLS has helped millions impacted by cancer throughout its more than 70-year history, even funding breakthrough blood cancer research to advance lifesaving treatments and cures that is now helping patients with other cancers and diseases. That is why at LLS we say that beating cancer is in our blood.
Please visit my website as often as you can and share it with everyone you know who would also like to join us in the fight against cancer. Together, we have the power, the passion and the resolve to achieve a world without blood cancer. All donations are tax-deductible.
On behalf of cancer patients and their families everywhere, I sincerely thank you for your support!
