Welcome to Team CUREageous' SOY Fundraising Page!
Hi everyone!
We're Team CUREageous! Our team consists of two co-candidates, Ally Greenwood and Marissa Stolfa. We're both from Davenport, Iowa and attend Davenport North High School as a junior and sophomore. We have accepted the challenge of Student of the Year because we both love to volunteer and give back. Although we may not have been affected by blood cancers, we're doing this for the over 1.2 million people who have. Student of the Year is a seven-week fundraising competition between high schoolers from across the United States. This is the first year that Eastern Iowa is participating! We are so excited to accept this challenge to help raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society! Our goal is to raise $10,000 for LLS. It seems like a lofty goal but with your help, we know we can reach it!
All money that is raised will go directly to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's mission to fund cancer research for not only blood cancers, but all cancers. This campaign is to not only raise money but to bring awareness to blood cancers. Did you know that every 4 minutes, someone in the United States is diagnosed with a type of blood cancer? That's why our campaign and the campaign of every single student participating in the Student of the Year is so important, because with your help, we can help the people affected.
All donations are greatly appreciated and are tax deductible. You can also see if your company will match gifts! Any donation will not only support LLS-funded research but will help provide critical information and support for patients, and support advocacy for laws to ensure patients can access the care and treatments they need.
Be sure to share our link on your social medias to spread the word!
Please visit our website often and share with anyone who would also like to donate!
On behalf of our team and blood cancer patients everywhere, we thank you for your support!
Ally and Marissa

My mother died of Lymphoma and hope this donation may help with research and/or help others with the same cancer.
