This year, I Nikhila Juluri, a co-candidate of the Team FightForLife have the privilege of participating in the 2020-2021 Student of the Year competition as a candidate for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS). This campaign is a seven week, fundraising competition, organized by high school students to raise money to help patients fight blood cancers such as leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease, and myeloma. We have decided to be a part of LLS because we have experienced how cancer has affected our loved ones and those around us. We want to offer some form of comfort to families in similar situations by helping them through financial means. By participating in this campaign, we will help raise money for families dealing with cancer as well as the research groups working on finding a cure. We want to take this initiative and help make sure that the families dealing with this don’t have to worry about their finances. Knowing that other families have this support, will go a long way towards ensuring that no one person has to fight cancer alone.

Please join me in supporting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) by making a donation to my fundraising campaign. Thanks to your support, my efforts, will help fund the therapies and treatments and help save lives today.
LLS's continued advancements over the years, are responsible for the blood cancer survival rate doubling and tripling; in some cases, the survival rate has even quadrupled.
And many LLS supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are now used to treat patients with rare forms of stomach and skin cancers. They're even being tested in clinical trials for patients with a range of cancers including lung, brain, breast, pancreatic and prostate cancers. LLS funded drugs are now being tested for patients with other non-cancerous diseases like Diabetes, Rheumatoid Arthritis and Multiple Sclerosis.
We really are changing the face of blood cancer!
All donations are greatly appreciated and are tax deductible. They'll not only support LLS research but patient services, advocacy, public and professional education, and community services as well.
