As a volunteer in the Oncology Department of Mercy Hospital, I have seen the devastating toll that cancer takes on patients of all shapes and sizes. I observed their dependency and helplessness during our interactions and was inspired to take action. The LLS’ pioneering work in leukemia research provides an avenue to make a difference in patients’ lives. I am honored to be a Student of the Year candidate, and I truly hope that my efforts can foster positive change and promote a cancer-free future.

Hi! Im Phanisri Shaddarsanam. As a volunteer in the Oncology Department of Mercy Hospital, I have seen the devastating toll that cancer takes on patients of all shapes and sizes. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s pioneering work in blood cancer research provides an avenue to make a difference in patients’ lives.
