Hi! My name is Isabella Mondello. I am a junior at Ursuline Academy, and I am a parishoner at St. Margaret Mary Alacoque. I had the honor of being nominated as a candidate for Student of the Year from Maddy Minnelli. I was on Maddy's team last year when she was a candidate, and I instantly fell in love with what LLS was doing. I am honored to be able to run for the The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) 2021 Student of the Year campaign. I am running against several passionate candidates like myself. Together, we are working for the same cause of finding a cure for blood cancer. I am asking for your contribution in helping my team and I achieve our goal to help LLS find the cures to blood cancer. 

I am running for Student of the Year, because I have had several family members impacted by cancer, Leukemia/ Lymphoma and others. It pained me to see the people that I love most go through something as draining as cancer. It made me realize that if I am pained this much by my family going through cancer, how do the other millions of families going through something worse feel? This drove me to want to do something more. Maddy's team was the beginning to me wanting to make my own mark on this illness. I am running in honor of my uncles, aunts, cousins who fought cancer. I am also doing this for every family that has been impacted by cancer. I understand, I hear you, and I hope that with your help, we can find the answer to cancer.
