Students of the Year St. Louis
Sam Juenger | Striking Out Cancer
Welcome to Sam Juenger's SOY Fundraising Page!
I am honored to be a candidate for the 2020 Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Student of the Year campaign. I am writing today to ask for your support of my efforts to help LLS in its mission to find a cure for blood cancers and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. Like so many others, I have witnessed the devastating effects cancer has on patients, family and friends. While childhood leukemia has the highest cure rate of any blood cancer, it is still the number one disease killer among children under the age of 20. This needs to change, and I know that as we partner together with LLS, we will find a cure, not someday, but today!
Here is how you can be part of the cure...
I, along with several other St. Louis Student of the Year candidates are participating in a fundraising campaign to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. This is a seven week campaign starting on February 14 and culminating on April 3. My campaign to be Student of the Year is all about dollars raised. Every dollar I raise is a vote for me and a vote to cure cancer. I am asking you today to join me and my team “Strike Out Cancer” in our ambitious goal of raising $75,000.
Your donation will prevent someone from losing a child, sibling, parent, or loved one and allow LLS to continue funding life-saving research. Please reach out to others you know and ask them to contribute as well. I want to thank you in advance for your generous support and I am humbled to be involved with the LLS. Team “Strike Out Cancer” is motivated and ready to work together towards finding a cure and making a positive difference in the lives of those affected by blood cancers.
Sincerely,
Sam Juenger
2020 Student of the Year Candidate

Congratulations for taking on this worthwhile endeavor. As a 40 year oncology nurse, I have seen the devastating outcomes that leukemia and lymphoma can cause. I have also witnessed how dollars raised can provide funding for research that is making a difference. Keep up the good work!!
