Ellie's Student Visionaries of the Year Fundraiser

Jan 07, 2024

Hi! My name is Ellie Plunkett, and I am a 10th grader at Mount Pisgah Christian School in Alpharetta, Georgia. This year, I’m proud to be a co-candidate with Sanhita Panse in the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Student Visionaries of the Year Campaign, working to raise as much as possible for LLS’s mission.  This program is equipping us with essential leadership and business skills that will undoubtedly serve us well as we progress in our personal and proffesional journey.

All funds are raised in honor of our 6th grade English teacher at Mount Pisgah, Mrs. Parker, who is currently in a battle with B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. She is so strong, and we want to honor her continued strength throughout this campaign. Our team - Patriots for the Cure is comprised of 16 Mount Pisgah students who are very passionate about supporting Mrs. Parker and all patients through cancer and finding a cure for these diseases.

As a global leader in the fight against blood cancer, LLS:

  • Funds cutting-edge research leading to breakthroughs in immunotherapy, genomics and personalized medicine that are improving and saving the lives of patients
  • Provides free education and support for blood cancer patients and families, including personalized, one-on-one support, assistance with identifying and enrolling in clinical trials, and more.
  • Mobilizes thousands of advocates to drive policy changes that accelerate the development of new cancer treatments and break down barriers to care.

Please consider joining this fight by making a donation. All donations are greatly appreciated and tax-deductible. Please be sure to check if your company has a matching gifts program, visit my website often, and share my fundraising page to friends who would also like to donate!

On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere, thank you!

Ellie Plunkett
