Welcome to Team Good Vibes Save Lives' online donation page! We, Maisey Brown and Kate Banks, are so excited to have the opportunity to lead an incredible campaign with the help of our friends and family. We truly cannot do this without you.

Our goal as a part of the LLS Student Visionaries of the Year campaign is to spread awareness and make a contribution to the fight against blood cancer. By donating to LLS, you are contributing to a global non-profit organization that works to make impossibilities a reality. 

The fight against blood cancers has changed significantly in recent years because of the work LLS has done. LLS directly supports patients by:​

• Funding treatments for patients and their families suffering from blood cancers including leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease, and myeloma
• Funding cutting-edge research leading to revolutionary breakthroughs in immunotherapy, genomics, and personalized medicine
• Providing families with assistance in identifying and enrolling in clinical trials 
• Advocating for policy changes that accelerate the development of new cancer treatments and create more equal access to care

We have set a team goal of $50,000 that we hope to raise over the course of this 7-week challenge. This is a lot of money, but we wholeheartedly believe we can raise it with the support of people like you. We are so grateful for any and every donation, no matter the size. 

This year, we are dedicating our campaign on Team Good Vibes Save Lives to Sofia Irlando, a good friend of ours and a senior at the Paideia School in Atlanta, GA. In the fall of 2019, Sofia was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia, an aggressive form of blood cancer. She immediately underwent multiple rounds of chemotherapy and in January 2020, she received a life-saving bone marrow transplant. Thanks to an incredible team of doctors and well-funded research, Sofia is in remission today. Watching Sofia battle cancer showed us the reality that so many patients experience every day. The work that LLS does is so vital for patients like Sofia. Her journey has inspired us to take an active role in the fight to cure cancer, and we hope it does for you, too.
