Team Three MuskeCURES | The Three MuskeCUREs
Welcome to Team Three MuskeCURES' SOY Fundraising Page!
Hello All!
We, the Three MuskeCURES, are honored to participate in the 2019 Students of the Year program, a seven-week initiative in which select high school students from around the country participate in a fundraising competition to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
This year, we are fundraising in honor of the Boy and Girl of the Year, John David and Michelle.
Michelle was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) about a year and a half ago, and John David – or JD for short! – was diagnosed with B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in June of 2016. Your donations will not only support research funds for all blood cancers, including Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia which can go on to help many other people like JD and Michelle.
Each tax-deductible donation helps. To put things into perspective…
- $50 makes possible a Family Support group with a trained facilitator where comfort can be found and experiences can be shared among patients and family members.
- $100 helps supply laboratory researchers with supplies and materials critical to carrying out their search for cures.
- $1,000 makes possible one-on-one conversations with health care specialists who provide patients with information about their disease, treatment options, and helps prepare them with questions for their health care team.
Since the early 1960s, five-year survival rates for many blood cancer patients have doubled, tripled or even quadrupled. And many LLS supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are helping patients with other cancers and serious diseases. In fact, drugs first approved for blood cancers are now approved to treat patients with stomach cancers, skin cancers, and autoimmune diseases like rheumatoid arthritis.
All donations are greatly appreciated and are tax deductible. They'll not only support LLS-funded research but will help provide critical information and support for patients, and support advocacy for laws to ensure patients can access the care and treatments they need.
We really are changing the face of blood cancer! On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere, thank you for your support!
