Welcome to our fundraising page for our Students of the Year team Just CURE It! Amber Lyons and I (Abi Sukowatey) are so honored to have been nominated to lead a team in this important campaign. The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's mission is near to our hearts as we have friends and family members who have been impacted by cancer. 

My (Amber Lyons) biggest blessing from LLS has been to my grandfather. He is currently battling bone marrow cancer with about $10,000 of treatment cost that is not covered by his VA Insurance, but LLS is committed to helping all patients fight cancer and has agreed to cover the remaining cost of his treatment! This campaign means so much to me because I know that good news similar to mine can be available to others in need of financial assistance with the money that our team and all 2022 SOY candidates can raise. 

We hope our campaign will make an impact on our community, and we are looking forward to what this journey holds! In order to be successful, we need your help! Amber Lyons and I (Abi Sukowatey) have signed up to save lives with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) and are working to raise as much as possible over the next 7 weeks. Every dollar raised counts as one vote for my campaign. The candidate(s) whose team tallies the most votes earns the prestigious title of Student or Students of the Year. Will you help me earn that title?
 
As you know, everyone wins when cancer loses. Thanks to your support, my efforts will help fund therapies and treatments that are saving lives. Over the years, support from people like you have been responsible for the blood cancer advancements that have doubled, tripled, and in some cases quadrupled the survival rate for some blood cancers.
 
Many LLS-supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are also now used to treat patients with rare forms of stomach and skin cancers and are in clinical trials for patients with lung, brain, breast, pancreatic and prostate cancers. And LLS-funded drugs like targeted therapies and immunotherapies are now saving thousands of lives every day.
 
We really are getting close to our goal of a world without blood cancers!
