DeFeet Cancer's Students of the Year Fundraiser
Jan 16, 2021
Thank you for visiting our fundraising page!
We, Megan Anton (Greenbrier High School) and Lauren Lewallen (Evans High School), are very excited to announce that we have been nominated to participate as candidates for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Students of the Year Campaign. The Students of the Year campaign (SOY) is a seven-week fundraising competition to raise money and awareness for LLS. We are writing today to ask for your support of our campaign and LLS’s mission to find cures for blood cancers and to assist patients and their families. We have been given an opportunity to help others and we cannot do it without your support.
Our Team’s Honored Hero- Kennedy Martin: Kennedy Martin is a 13 year old student at Greenbrier Middle School. She was diagnosed with T-Cell Lymphoblastic Lymphoma on June 2, 2020. Since then, she has endured chemotherapy, blood transfusions, and other medications to fight this disease. Kennedy enjoys playing volleyball, hanging out with friends and family and going to church. Through Kennedy’s trials, she has never lost faith and continues to wear a beautiful smile on her face. Our campaign can help children like Kennedy by providing funds to help cure this disease!
Please visit our website as often as you can and share it with everyone you know who would also like to join us in the fight against cancer. Together, we have the power, the passion and the resolve to achieve a world without blood cancer. All donations are tax-deductible.
On behalf of cancer patients and their families everywhere, we sincerely thank you for your support!

This donation is given in honor of my daughter who is a Lymphoma cancer survivor. It is also given with a thankful heart to honor the many colleagues at Sue Reynolds including Lauren’s grandmother who supported us as Jean underwent treatment.

I am honored to have taught Megan and Kennedy. I am not surprised that Megan would be working so hard to find a cure for cancer, and I am not surprised in Kennedy's strength as she battles this disease. She will beat this!

Thank you for being involved in this fundraiser. It is amazing how many people have or have had Leukemia and Lymphoma and how many have been helped by what the LLC has been able to do.
