Hi!!! We are two juniors at Riverwood High School and Mount Vernon High School that have been best friends forever. When the opportunity came for us to help raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society we both knew that this was something meant for us. We are passionate about not only blood cancer but all types of cancer because we know it has affected millions of families throughout the US. We have assembled the best team of people around the Atlanta area and are excited to take on our challege of raising $55,000 in just 7 weeks. Every donation helps and I hope you will join us in the fight against cancer!!

Our WHY:

Many people have been asking us WHY we are participating in this campaign. The simple answer is that we want to help find a cure for not only blood cancer, but all types of cancer. But, this fundraiser not only affects the cancer patients themselves, but it affects the families, friends and doctors that are involved in the lives of the patients. We are fighting with LLS to help the families that have lost loved ones due to cancer, just like Annabel and I. We have both had multiple family members who have had different types of cancer and have had to deal with the heart-breaking affects that cancer can cause. Blood cancer research is the gateway into other forms of cancer research because blood is accessible and can be easily tested. We are fighting with LLS to cure blood cancer, and better yet, cancer overall.

We (Margaret Ross and Annabel Bridges) have signed up to save lives with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) and are working to raise as much as possible over the next 7 weeks. Every dollar raised counts as one vote for our campaign. The candidate(s) whose team tallies the most votes earns the prestigious title of Student or Students of the Year. Will you help me earn that title?
 
As you know, everyone wins when cancer loses. Thanks to your support, our efforts will help fund therapies and treatments that are saving lives. Over the years, support from people like you has been responsible for the blood cancer advancements that have doubled, tripled, and in some cases quadrupled the survival rate for some blood cancers.
 
Many LLS-supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are also now used to treat patients with rare forms of stomach and skin cancers and are in clinical trials for patients with lung, brain, breast, pancreatic and prostate cancers. And LLS-funded drugs like targeted therapies and immunotherapies are now saving thousands of lives every day.
 
We really are getting close to our goal of a world without blood cancers!
