Mary Linley Marshall | Team Pack for a Cure

Mary Linley's Students of the Year Fundraiser

Jan 09, 2022

Hi everyone! My name is Mary Linley and I am so blessed to have been chosen as a co-candidate for Team Pack for a Cure this year! As a team member last year, I found a deep passion for fundraising and with that passion, I am now ready for round two of raising money to SAVE LIVES eith hopes of one day putting an end to blood cancers. Though I have never personally been affected by blood cancers and I do not know anyone suffering from this particular strand of illnesses, I have been blessed to be the grand-daughter of one of the strongest people I know, Jane Marshall, who I would like to dedicate this campaign to. In 2016, my grandmother was diagnosed with Stage 4 ovarian cancer and with this diagnosis, my view on cancer and its effects changed tremedously. Her strength during this time showed me what it looked like to fight, live without fear, and be positive no matter what the circumstances may be. After fighting for two years, my grandmother overcame her battle with cancer and she is now cancer-free! So, Nana, if you are reading this, please know that it is your strength that has led me to want to take part in this campaign as everyone deserves another shot at life and to feel supported!

I greatly appreciate each of you for checking out my page to hear why I am fighting alongside so many amazing team members to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society! If my story stuck out to you or you have an opportunity, please donate to my group fundraising page

Until there is a Cure,

Mary Linley Marshall

In honor of: Jane Marshall (Nana)

Mary Linley's Students of the Year Fundraiser

Oct 25, 2021

I have signed up to save lives with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) and am working to raise as much as possible over the next 7 weeks. Every dollar raised counts as one vote for my campaign. The candidate(s) whose team tallies the most votes earns the prestigious title of Student or Students of the Year. Will you help me earn that title?

As you know, everyone wins when cancer loses. Thanks to your support, my efforts will help fund therapies and treatments that are saving lives. Over the years, support from people like you has been responsible for the blood cancer advancements that have doubled, tripled, and in some cases quadrupled the survival rate for some blood cancers.

Many LLS-supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are also now used to treat patients with rare forms of stomach and skin cancers and are in clinical trials for patients with lung, brain, breast, pancreatic and prostate cancers. And LLS-funded drugs like targeted therapies and immunotherapies are now saving thousands of lives every day.

We really are getting close to our goal of a world without blood cancers!

All donations are greatly appreciated and tax-deductible. They'll not only support LLS research, but patient services, advocacy, public and professional education, and community services as well.

Please visit my website often and tell friends who would also like to donate!

On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere, thank you for your support! For more information about LLS, please visit www.lls.org
