I am so excited that I have been chose as a candidate for team "Secure the Cure" in the 2020 Students of the Year competition supporting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). This campaign is a seven-week-long competition from January 10th-Feburary 28th in which high school students build teams and compete to raise the most money supporting the LLS mission to cure blood cancers. 

I feel extremely passionate about this campaign and cause because my nine year old cousin was diagnosed with nodular lymphocyte predominant Hodgkin-lymphoma cancer and beat it. Watching a young child fight through a blood cancer disease has fueled me to want to make sure other young kids like him have access to the best research, programs, and treatments. Leukemia is still the #1 form of childhood cancer, and I want to do my part in helping to change this statistic. 

Our team has an incredible goal to raise in these seven weeks and need your help! Donations of any amount are greatly appreciated. This donations will not only support LLS-funded research but will help provide critical information and support for patients, and support advocacy for laws to ensure patients can access the care and treatments they need.
