Students of the Year Atlanta

Dolph Orthwein | Team XL

Welcome to Dolph Orthwein's Student of the Year Fundraising Page!

Jan 26, 2020

I am honored to say that I am a candidate for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Student of the Year campaign. Student of the Year is a seven-week leadership development program that runs from January 10th to February 28th to raise money and advocate for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). LLS’s mission is to find a cure for blood cancers and improve the quality of life for patients. LLS is the largest blood cancer research program in the nation.

I have created a team of committed friends, family, and teachers/mentors to join me on this journey. My team (Team XL) is trying to raise $30,000. Each dollar is one vote, and the candidate team that collects the most money at the end is named Student of the Year. All the money goes directly to LLS. In fact, the treatments that LLS is funding benefit non-blood cancer patients too. More than 40% of new cancer treatment drugs approved by the FDA since 2004 started as blood cancer drugs are now being applied in other forms of cancer.

With your donation, you can make a difference in people’s lives, so I hope you will consider supporting my partnership with this marvelous charity.
