Welcome to Team Spreading Hope's SOY Fundraising Page!
Hi and welcome to our page! Our names are Hope Begashaw and Allison Diaz and it such a tremendous honor to be participating in the Students of the Year program!
Blood cancer has grown into a poweful monstrous disease that can bring tremendous sorrow to friends and family. In 2017, there were 1,590 deaths due to blood cancer in Georgia alone. The power of your donation will go towards livesaving treatments to help decrease this number.
Since the early 1960s, five-year survival rates for many blood cancer patients have doubled, tripled or even quadrupled. And many LLS supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are helping patients with other cancers and serious diseases. In fact, drugs first approved for blood cancers are now approved to treat patients with stomach cancers, skin cancers, and autoimmune diseases like rheumatoid arthritis.
As we were chosing a name for our team, we wanted something that would speak volumes of what we belived in. That's when we came up with Spreading Hope.
Hope (N)- a feeling expectation and desire for a certain desire
That is what the power of your donation provides. A Hope to people have given up and are the darkest in places.
Let's continue to fight cancer, one dollar at a time, and thank you in advance for your support!
-Hope and Allison :)
