Students of the Year Atlanta
Team Fight Conquer Cure
Welcome to Team Fight Conquer Cure's SOY Fundraising Page!
This year we are privileged to be candidates for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) 2019 Students of the Year campaign. For seven weeks, starting January 31, 2019, students across the country will compete by raising funds and awareness for LLS’ mission to cure blood cancers. We are writing today to ask for your support of this worthy cause to find cures and assist patients as they battle Leukemia, Lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease, or Myeloma. This is a unique opportunity to help others and we cannot do it without your support.
LLS’s work is changing the lives of not only the 1.2 million Americans living with blood cancer, but all cancer patients. Over 40% of the new cancer treatment drugs approved by the FDA since 2004 started out as blood cancer drugs, but are now being applied to other forms of cancer. So not only does your donation help blood cancer patients, but funds the research that could be the cure to another form of cancer too!
This cause is very dear to our hearts, as Courtney’s father, Raymond King, battled Lymphoma in 2008. Because of LLS’ groundbreaking research and funding, her dad achieved remission by 2009! However, this is not the case for all blood cancer patients and their families. Our goal during this campaign is to not only support patients in their fight towards remission, but to provide comfort to their families and children battling alongside them in hopes of one day being able to tell the story that Courtney is fortunate enough to tell today. So in honor of her father and all of the families blood cancer has affected, we are participating in the Students of the Year program.
During these 7 weeks, our team’s goal is to raise $30,000. While this is an ambitious undertaking, with the help of generous people like you, we will exceed not only our monetary goal, but raise a tremendous amount of awareness as well.
How you can help:
1. Donate via our personal fundraising page: https://events.lls.org/ga/AtlantaSOY19/tfightconq
2. Share our message and fundraising link with your contacts via email or social media
3. Get your company involved! Corporate Sponsorships start at $5,000 and can receive
Gala benefits, silent auctions items can be donated for the Gala, and matching programs
are strongly encouraged!
4. Eat at Shake Shack on 2/4! Come support our campaign by showing this flyer or
mentioning LLS at the counter at the Buckhead location. Proceeds will benefit LLS!

Thank you in advance for supporting this incredible cause, and please remember, every bit counts. Company matching donations are welcome and feel free to spread the link along to others too! Again, thank you for your generosity.
