Students of the Year Atlanta
Nicholas Buhay | MAD Lion
Welcome to Nicholas and William Buhay's SOY Fundraising Page!
We are excited to participate in the 2019 Students of the Year program, a seven-week initiative in which select high school students from around the country participate in a fundraising competition to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. We have joined the team MAD LION, led by Student of the Year candidates Stockton Vohs and Price Doherty. By the end of our campaign, March 23rd, our team hopes to raise $150,000 to fight cancer. Not only do we wish to raise the most money, but we also hope to bring attention to blood cancers like leukemia, which is the most common form of cancer in children and teens.
We were asked to join this fundraising effort by our longtime friends and fellow 11th graders, Lovett students Stockton Vohs and Price Doherty. Both Stockton and Price lost their aunts due to Leukemia, which is why they named the team MAD Lion, which stands for My Aunt Died, Leukemia Is On Notice. We too have experienced loss due to cancer. Our uncle, Bob Buhay, fought cancer and ultimately died from complications from Hodgkins Lymphoma a year ago. We hope to help prevent more losses with your donations to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
Thanks for any support you can provide.

All donations are greatly appreciated and are tax deductible. They'll not only support LLS-funded research, but will help provide critical information and support for patients and will support advocacy for laws to ensure patients can access the care and treatments they need.
