I’d like to thank each of you for the unconditional support you have given Team Tobon and me during these past years. No words can adequately express our appreciation for the outpouring of love to our family.                                                        

My dad, Diego Tobon, lost his battle with Leukemia six years ago this February. I think about him every day and wonder about all the things we could have done together had he won the fight. I miss racing with him in the pool and reading Harry Potter together, but I know he wanted me to be strong and help others so that they can live full lives with their loved ones.

Today I am launching a new chapter in my late father’s legacy and in the ongoing fight against cancer by joining the Student of the Year Campaign. The campaign runs for seven weeks and mine is in honor of a 17-year-old high school student, Hannah Hermansen, who is currently in remission from Non- Hodgkin Lymphoma.
