Hello I am Binaca Sosa and welcome to my page!

I have been given a once in a lifetime opportunity!  I have the great honor to have been nominated for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) 2018 Student of the Year fundraising campaign for Team Bianca. I can’t express the excitement I have for the upcoming weeks of fundraising. I am asking for your support of LLS’s efforts to finding cures for  blood cancer,to aid patients ,and families during their battle with cancer.

From January 21st to March 10th my team has a goal of $10,000 to raise, and I know it is a enormous goal and I am willing to work hard to achieve this goal that's why I need your help. All of the funds I raise goes directly to LLS towards research for cures and to enable patients to get the treatment they need. Every 4 minutes someone is diagnosed with blood cancer and every 10 minutes someone dies from it. Which I find extremely devastating statics but this is the reality as heartbreaking as I think it is.

Although I have not been directly affected by cancer, cancer has touched my life and most lives all over the world.  In the past year I have been touched by cancer in my family and some close family friends. I am running this campaign on behalf of  Barbara Kianofsky who died, this past year, before I could get to know her better.  I regret not getting to know such an energetic and charismatic person.  She has been described as the person whom walks into a room everyone is excited to see. Upon hearing this I wished that her cancer had not taken her away so soon so she could have spread more joy and touch more people’s lives.  I want to help make a change and I know blood cancer won't go away tomorrow like other world problems but knowing that I can make some sort of difference in the lives of people that I don't even know gives me the motivation to run this campaign.
