Hello!

My name is Alexandra Simon, and I am a junior at Tower Hill School. I am a candidate this year for the "Its in Our Blood Team" with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS), and my co-candidates are Kasey Palma and Jack Chesman. Our team will work together to raise as much as possible for LLS's mission to fund the advancement of blood cancer research and treatment. 

Our hero this year is Sam, a seven year old boy who is fighting leukemia. He loves to play football, ice hockey, and rugby.  He is such a strong little boy and it is difficult to understand how much he has been through. Sam's bravery and strength is what motivates student visionaries like myself to find cures to blood cancer, and puts the true meaning of the campaign in perspective for me.

A few of my family members have suffered from cancer, which inspires me to do what I can as a student by raising money to expand the research of treatments and find advanced solutions. My family members' courage and resilience while fighting cancer motivates me to be strong, like they have always been. Our team hopes to end the mental and physical traumas that are caused by cancer. 

Visionaries like myself look into the future and see infinite possibilities for cures and imagine a world where all people can be healthy. We observe the stories, journeys, and missions of patients who have suffered from blood cancers. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society strives for the vision of a world without blood cancers. My team and I have a vision for a world without cancer, but we need your help.
