Anshu and Leena - Students of the Year Fundraiser
Our fundraising campaign lasts from January 20, 2021 to March 11, 2021, so we have 7 weeks to raise the most money we can! Thank you for your support.
Online Clothing Store
Would you like to purchase clothes where your money is going to entirely benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in finding a cure for blood cancers? If yes, shop at our online store: https://www.bonfire.com/store/caretocure/ and your purchase will benefit our team efforts to ensure that LLS's mission succeeds. Thank you so much!
Dine to Donates
To raise money, we, Anshu and Leena, are going to be doing dine-to-donates at restuarants, where on a specific day, customers can choose to have a certain percentage of their bill go to our team, Care to Cure, to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
February 9th 4-9pm: Bethany Blues in Lewes, Delaware (15% goes to us): Join us at Bethany Blues in Lewes on February 9th, from 4pm - 9pm to have a delicious meal and also raise money for LLS. To be able to contribute you must have a PRINTED copy of the coupon attached below. We, Anshu and Leena, will also have a table in the front where we can hand out coupons if you ask us. There may also be a tentative gift card raffle during this dine to donate!
February 21st 3pm-10pm: Rehoboth, Delaware (20%): Join us at IHOP in Rehoboth, Delaware on Sunday, February 21st, 2021 from 3:00pm- 10:00pm to have a delicious meal and support LLS. Upon arrival or takeout, say you are supporting The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's fundraiser and 20% of your bill will benefit our team, Care to Cure! For this event to take place, we need 20 RSVPS by Febraury 18th. Please rsvp here: https://www.groupraise.com/events/177938
Anshu and Leena's Students of the Year Fundraiser
Thank you for visiting our fundraising page!
We, Anshu Sharda and Leena Maharaj, are high-school students passionate about ensuring a change in the future of blood cancer treatments. Leena's 10-year old family friend, Nirvana Jagnanan, is diagnosed with Leukemia, so we are inspired to fundraise the most money we can to help her and individuals like her batting with blood cancer.
We encourage you to support The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) by donating to our fundraising team, Care to Cure! Your donation helps fund ground-breaking research, provides education and support to patients and their families, and advocates at the state and federal level for legislation to help those living with cancer.
You may be wondering what LLS has done already for blood cancer patients and their families:
- LLS has invested nearly $1.3 billion in cutting-edge research worldwide since it was founded in 1949.
- LLS has provided free information, support services, and financial assitance to over 30,000 people last year.
- LLS's network of over 100,000 volunteers advocate for state and federal policies that benefit patients.
- LLS funded 55 of 65 FDA approved treatments since 2017 as of Sept. 2020.
- The LLS Covid-19 Patient Financial Aid Program has provided more than $4.5 million in assistance to over 18,000 blood cancer patients as of Sept. 2020.
That is why at LLS we say that beating cancer is in our blood. Together, we have the power, the passion and the resolve to achieve a world without blood cancer. All donations are tax-deductible.
We appreciate your support endlessly.
