Students of the Year Delaware
Annabel Gioffre | #DACK
Welcome to Annabel Gioffre's SOY Fundraising Page!
I have been given the opportunity of a lifetime to participate in the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Student of the Year campaign. As some of you may recall, I participated in the campaign on a local level in 2017. During that time, I was so touched by the outpouring of support from friends and family across the country as we worked together to raise almost $20,000 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s mission to fund research and provide access to treatment for blood cancer patients and their families.
Because of my experience in 2017, I have decided to compete for the Student of the Year title on a national level! I have decided to attend college in North Carolina, and hope to continue supporting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society while I am there, but before I leave, I wanted to put the great state of Delaware on the map and show the country that our state might be small, but we are doing big things when it comes to helping blood cancer patients and their families. I want to do all that I can to support those impacted by blood cancers, whether it’s through co-pay assistance, emergency needing funding or funding a cure.
This year, I am one of three candidates from across the United States who has taken on the challenge of being an “all-star” candidate and competing at the national level. Despite running on a national level, the campaign mirrors the local level campaign in terms of how a candidate earns the Student of the Year title. The All-Star candidate who earns the most votes will earn the title of Student of the Year. Every dollar raised counts as vote.
On February 12, 2019, I will turn 18 and in lieu of an 18thbirthday gift, I am asking that my friends and family make a donation to my All-Star campaign.
I have until March 16, 2019 to reach my goal of raising $50,000
Your donation will help prevent someone from losing a child, sibling, parent or loved one, and allow LLS to continue funding lifesaving research. Please visit LLS.org to learn more about the organization’s mission and the life-saving work that helping patients and families across the country.
