Hello! I am Sami Sander, a 16-year-old sophomore at Lake Travis High School. I am very involved with theatre and the performing arts inside and outside of school. I live in Lakeway, Texas, and have 3 siblings, 2 dogs, and a cat. I am participating in this campaign in memory of my grandfather Roman Nosek and to help blood cancer patients worldwide. My Grandpa battled Non-Hodgkin lymphoma for four years and eventually overcame it with chemo, but it weakened his body immensely and he sadly passed away from a heart attack in 2021. After seeing how life-changing the effects of his cancer were, I talked to my parents and discovered that many descendants of our family that I have never even met have passed from blood cancer. In realization of all of the beautiful families and souls that are being impacted by this, I want to do everything I can to contribute to an end.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society was built on that same vision - of a better world - one without blood cancers.
