AnnaCate's Student Visionaries of the Year Fundraiser
I am honored to be a candidate for the Ann Richards Team, Constellations for a Cause, for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) 2024 Student Visionaries of the Year Campaign. Student Visionaries of the Year is a seven-week leadership development program that runs from January 5, 2024 to February 24, 2024 to raise money to help blood cancer patients not only survive but thrive after treatment.
I am dedicating our campaign to my sister, Mary “M.E.”, who is now 8 YEARS CANCER FREE!
My team of committed friends and family have set a fundraising goal of $100,000. The money raised helps LLS, the largest nonprofit dedicated to creating a world without blood cancers, fund research to advance lifesaving treatments, drive advocacy for policies that protect patient access to these treatments, and provide patients and families with hope, guidance, education and support. Our team is particularly passionate about Patient Support and will be representing this area of LLS during our campaign. This robust financial assistance program provides a crucial lifeline for blood cancer patients. In 2021, LLS provided $241 million in financial assistance to over 42,000 patients.
On behalf of my sister and our family and all blood cancer patients everywhere, thank you!
