Student Visionaries of the Year Austin

Rowan's Student Visionaries of the Year Austin Fundraiser

Jan 05, 2024

This year, I’m proud to be part of Team Cure Chasers and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Student Visionaries of the Year Campaign working to raise as much as possible for LLS’s mission.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) was built on a vision of a world without blood cancers. LLS has invested more than $1.5 billion in cancer research since 1949 and funds the most promising blood cancer research across the globe. With a more than 70-year track record, LLS collaborates to accelerate new discoveries, treatments, and cures. They have supported virtually every advancement in blood cancer treatment – including approaches once thought impossible.

LLS is striving to raise $175 million to reimagine the standard of care for pediatric blood cancer through the Dare to Dream Project. Their vision is to move toward effective, safe treatments that target cancer precisely without harming the rest of a pediatric patient's body.

As a global leader in the fight against blood cancer, LLS:

  • Funds cutting-edge research leading to breakthroughs in immunotherapy, genomics and personalized medicine
  • Provides free education and support for blood cancer patients and families
  • Mobilizes thousands of advocates to drive policy changes

Please consider joining this fight by making a donation. All donations are greatly appreciated and are tax-deductible. Please visit my website often and spread the word to friends who may also like to donate.

On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere, thank you for your consideration and support of this important cause!

This is awesome Rowan! I wish you the best of luck in your donation drive. The one thing to remember although it was hard to hear the words of having cancer, it is always good when they can find it so that the healing process begins. It is a very difficult and long journey but with the love from God, family and friends you have the best chance to beat it. Best of luck! Debbie Chermak
