Ronald Hanson | Team Cure Chasers
Ronald's Student Visionaries of the Year Austin Fundraiser

LOOK OUT… LOOK BEYOND…SEE ALL THE GOOD THAT YOU CAN DO!
Over my lifetime, I have discussed and demonstrated with and to our children and grandchildren the importance of giving to others. My grandparents demonstrated and said, “Always share your time, money and love. You never know the difference you may make in another person’s life.”
Recently our grandson, John Friedrich (TX) decided to chair a team of high school students (and others) for Student Visionaries, “Team Cure Chasers”. The team goal through the Leukemia Lymphoma Society is to raise $75,000. John invited me, along with my grandson Cole Hanson (IN.-his cousin) to be a part of his team. We said “Yes”! John, Cole and I are asking you to please help us reach the team goal by February 24.
John’s interest is personal. He has a friend who had leukemia and thankfully is currently cancer free. Her life has been changed permanently. In middle school, she was struck with leukemia. She can no longer participate in activities she loves-tennis and cheer. She cannot drive a car. During Covid, she was totally isolated due to her high risk. She is two years behind her original class. John wants to be a part of finding a cure. As he said, “When we find a cure, other costs go away.” The quality of our lives will improve.
As a special “thank you” to those who donate $100 or more per person, Cole and I will be hosting a garden reception. An official invitation will be sent to those individuals. In preparation, I have planted over 500 late blooming tulips around the patio that will be spectacular. A raffle for an original oil painting (16” X 20”) of twin windmills set amongst a field of glorious blooming tulips will be given away. To obtain raffle tickets simply contribute an additional $25.00/ticket when you make your $100 or more/person donation. You may buy as many raffle tickets as you wish, but you must make a donation of $100/person.

Ron, you and Sally have always been such an example of faith and generosity, willing to help others whenever needed. It is no surprise that your children and grandchildren have followed in your examples.
