Hello! My name is Bhuvan Kanna, and this year I am honored to be part of Team Cure Chasers for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Student Visionaries of the Year fundraiser initiative. As a global leader in the fight against blood cancer, LLS funds cutting-edge research leading to breakthroughs in immunotherapy, genomics and personalized medicine that are improving and saving the lives of patients. 

Student Visionaries of the Year is a seven-week leadership development program that runs from January 5, 2024 to February 24, 2024 to raise money to help blood cancer patients not only survive but thrive after treatment. I am writing today to ask for your support of my team’s campaign and LLS’s mission to find a cure for blood cancers and improve the quality of life for patients. 

My team consists of several of my committed friends and family, who are also passionate supporters of the crucial work undertaken by LLS. The hope is that, through sustained research and initiatives, we can alleviate the suffering of those affected by blood cancers and pave the way for a future where no one has to endure the heart-wrenching experience of growing up without the ones they hold dear.

Having witnessed the profound and far-reaching effects of cancer within my family circle over the past few years, my commitment to supporting the campaign is deeply rooted. Witnessing the challenges faced by my family members and the emotional toll it took on them has fueled my determination to actively engage in the mission to find cures and improve the quality of life for those affected by such diseases. By participating in this campaign, I aim to contribute to the ongoing battle against blood cancers, fostering a future free from the burden of these devastating illnesses.
