Hi everyone! We are so so excited to inform you that we were recuited as candiates for the 2020 Students of the Year program, a seven-week initiative in which select high school students from around the country participate in a fundraising competition to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. I am proud to support my candidate and am raising critical dollars in honor of a young patient hero who is currently battling or is in remission from a blood cancer. Each dollar is a vote. The candidate team that raises the most money at the end of the seven weeks is named Student of the Year. Our mission is to not only raise the most money but also to bring attention to blood cancers like leukemia, which is the most common form of cancer in children and teens.

Hi my name is Aneri and one of the most exciting facts that I have learned about LLS is that a lot of the research they do on blood cancers has then gone ahead to benefit many other types of cancer like brain cancer, breast cancer, lung cancer and many more! My aunt was diagnosed with Metastatic Breast Cancer HER2-Positive in 2016. She battled it for 4 years and she was a BIG FIGHTER! Due to the lack of research, there weren't many viable medicines available to treat certain types of cancer which ultimately led to my mom losing her best friend. I've seen my family at rock-bottom suffering through so much emotional trauma and that motivated me to make a change in my community to help prevent other families from going through the same situation. 

Hi my name is Malak and The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society has invested so much time, effort, and resources into the community. They have made such a huge impact in so many lives across the nation! LLS has invested $1.3 billion dollars in cutting-edge research, funding nearly all of today's most promising advances! Last year alone LLS provided 30,000 people with free information, support services, and financial assistance. The reason why I joined this amazing campaign was because when I was younger my best friend and neighbor was diagnosed with Leukemia. Since I was introduced to Leukemia at such a young age, it has really impacted my life. Thankfully after a lot of hard work and fighting, my neighbor and best friend entered remission. His journey through blood cancer inspires me to work harder through this campaign and fight to end blood cancer. 

We really are changing the face of blood cancer!
