Though I haven't had connections personally to cancer, I've always been interested in helping those who are affected by it. When I joined Youth Against Cancer Society and met girls who were previously raising money for LLS at my school, I knew that what I wanted to do was to finally seize that opportunity to make a difference. I am so glad and so fortunate that I was nominated because in these past few weeks as a candidate I've realized that what we're doing means so much and the education we are giving others through our mission pillar of research is helping the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society to help aid those with blood cancer. I am passionate about this cause, and working alongside my co-candidate to reach our $50,000 goal and help as many people as we possibly can. I can't thank everyone enough for all of the community support our team has received so far. There are 2 weeks left for us to make an impact!

This year, as a candidate, as a visionary, I strive to work to help find a cure for those with blood cancer.  So many people throughout the world are impacted by blood cancer, and not just patients, but family members and friends as well. The goal this year for Team Champions of Change is to help contribute to find a way to cure this disease, so that people may no longer be affected.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society was built on that same vision - of a better world - one without blood cancers.
