Hello! My name is Lyla Keenan and I am a junior at Rye High School. It is with great honor and pride to be able to work with such an inspiring and successful organization. I am so proud to be working to help so many people all in memory of my Uncle Matt.

The main reason I am so passionate and determined to raise money and support this organization is in honor of my Uncle Matt. Despite never having the chance to meet him myself before he passed, I cherish my relationship with his peers and love learning about his character and life. Through stories shared by his family and friends over the years, I have learned what a kind, supportive, and optimistic brother, friend, and teammate he was. As I go through my life, I am inspired to live like Matt. His beloved character and kind spirit continue to inspire his friends, his family, and myself. I feel he has been a guiding force in my life.

Through raising money in my campaign I am supporting breakthrough cancer research to help other families going through treatment and fighting cancer. Our goal is to make their treatments easier, healthier, and successful. 

But, I can't do it alone. My supportive team and our collective efforts are hoping to raise $100,000 by the end of this event. All proceeds will go to cutting-edge research for new cancer breakthroughs in hopes of finding a cure. This research has the potential to both find a cure and in the meantime make treatment as up-to-date and effective as we can to help patients across the country.
