Hello! My name is Esme Weiss, and I am a junior at Horace Greeley High School. I am very excited to participate in this event to help raise awarness and money to helping those who have leukemia or lymphoma, like my Mom.

Cancer impacts many people's lives in many different ways. My inspiration for this event is my mom. My mom has follicular lymphoma, which is a non-Hodgkins lymphoma. There are treatments for it, but currently no cure. Having seen my Mom affected by this disease inspired me to do my part in helping work towards a cure and a better life for those affected, as nobody should have to suffer or see the ones they love suffer.

Through LLS, my team and I hope to raise awarness about leukemia, lymphoma, and other blood cancers, along with supporting research towards more effective treatements and cures. My campaign will provide support to the critical work of LLS in the hope that one day no one will have to grow up seeing the people they love suffering from cancer. I know that with your help, I can reach my goal and make a direct impact in the fight against blood cancer.
