Hi! I’m Naomi, and I am a Sophomore at Ridgefield High School. I am excited to be involved in the Student Visionaries of the Year program with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS)! I have been working with LLS since I was five years old, working bake sales at our local recreation center with my family. I later worked with my elementary school to raise awareness for the cause. Cancer became personal after my mom got diagnosed in 2015, she was fortunate to have been diagnosed it at an early stage and receive treatment. But not everybody is as fortunate. I joined the Student Visionaries program to raise awareness and funds to support leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease, and myeloma research and patient care. The younger generations are so caught up in their busy schedules and plans, that I hope to get them involved and come together to make a difference.

This year, I’m proud to be a part of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Student Visionaries of the Year Campaign, working to raise as much as possible for LLS’s mission.

• Funds cutting-edge research leading to breakthroughs in immunotherapy, genomics and personalized medicine that are improving and saving the lives of patients
• Provides free education and support for blood cancer patients and families, including personalized, one-on-one support, assistance with identifying and enrolling in clinical trials, and more.
• Mobilizes thousands of advocates to drive policy changes that accelerate the development of new cancer treatments and break down barriers to care.
