Hi! I am Lily Anderman and I am a junior at Pleasantville High School in Pleasantville, New York. I am really excited to be involved in the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society as a Student Visionary of the year and am motivated to reach my team's fundraising goal of $30,000 for this society that helps with the research, patient support, and advocacy of Leukemia and Lymphoma cancers.

I decided to focus on fundraising for research because more information would be able to help the many people that are affected by these diseases. Not only are patients harmed physically and emotionally, but their families and friends also endure a lot of pain throughout their journey. In my short lifetime I have witnessed cancer multiple times whether it be through family members, friends, or throughout my community. I remember watching the hard-fought battle against cancer, and how devastating it was to watch someone lose themselves to it.

I don't want anyone else to have to experience that pain or have to watch someone else go through it. This horrible disease has already impacted too many lives and it is time to put an end to it. I want to be part of the generation that finds a cure for cancer!
