Rebecca's TEAM RACE LLS Fundraiser
I have signed up to save lives with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) and am working to raise as much as possible over the next 7 weeks. Every dollar raised counts as one vote for my campaign. The candidate(s) whose team tallies the most votes earns the prestigious title of Student or Students of the Year. Will you help me earn that title?
I was honored to be nominated by one of my teachers to be a Student of the Year candidate for the 2022 campaign. This cause is especially close to my teacher’s heart because her daughter is a cancer survivor. My friend Anna and I have created a group of committed friends and family to partner with us and we are called Team RACE (Rebecca and Anna- Cancer Extinguishers). We have set a fundraising goal of $15,000 and our campaign runs from February 4th -March 25th.
My main reason for participating in this campaign is my passion for helping others. I am a junior firefighter and I am planning to become a nurse. I want to make a difference in the lives of others and also have an interest in working on research to find cures for cancers in the future. My campaign will provide support to the critical work of LLS and I know that with your help, I can reach my goal and make a direct impact in the fight against blood cancers. I thank you in advance for partnering with me in this very important campaign, knowing that your generosity will truly make a difference in the lives of cancer patients and their families!
Many LLS-supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are also now used to treat patients with rare forms of stomach and skin cancers and are in clinical trials for patients with lung, brain, breast, pancreatic and prostate cancers. And LLS-funded drugs like targeted therapies and immunotherapies are now saving thousands of lives every day.
All donations are greatly appreciated and tax-deductible. They'll not only support LLS research, but patient services, advocacy, public and professional education, and community services as well. Please visit my website often and tell friends who would also like to donate!
On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere, thank you for your support! For more information about LLS, please visit www.lls.org

Hello Rebecca, I’m happy to be a part of your fundraising efforts! My husband died of cancer, but was so fortunate! His nurses, doctors, and everyone associated with our family helped him to live with dignity and hope! Thank you for your effort in finding a cure for a disease that affects so many! Good luck to you and your team! With love, Nancy Nahley

Good job, Rebecca and Team RACE, working hard to raise funds and awareness for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society! My aunt for whom I am named was diagnosed with Leukemia which eventually took her life at only eight years old. And a very close, lifelong friend was diagnosed with an acute form of Leukemia, and received a life-saving bone marrow transplant 13 years ago at Dana Farber. She still has some health struggles but we are grateful for the scientific advances which led to the bone marrow transplant that saved her. Congratulations on all your hard work and that of your team. You are already Students of the Year to me.🥰 All the best! Bonnie Vail
