Students of the Year New Haven

Katie Brown | Team Katie's Quest For A Cure

Welcome to Katie Brown's SOY Fundraising Page!

Jan 28, 2020

My name is Katie Brown, and I am a candidate for the 2020 Student of the Year Campaign. I am so excited to participate in this campaign especially because I am a survivor of leukemia. When I was three years old, I was diagnosed with leukemia, and after three years of chemotherapy and the research of LLS, I have been in remission for 15 years! My goal for this campaign is $15,000 because it is $1,000 for every year that I have been cured. LLS has done so much for cancer research and to help families haunted by cancer that I am honored to be a part of this campaign. I have beaten many obstacles to become who I am today and I am ready to give other children like me the same opportunities that LLS has given me.

Every 10 minutes, a life is lost to blood cancer but the survival rate has drastically gone up because of LLS. I need your help to join in the fight because BEATING CANCER IS IN OUR BLOOD!

All donations are greatly appreciated and are tax deductible. They'll not only support LLS-funded research but will help provide critical information and support for patients, and support advocacy for laws to ensure patients can access the care and treatments they need.

Please visit our website often and bring friends who would also like to donate!

On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere, thank you for your support!
