Thank you to everyone who has donated thus far. It means everything and more not only to Team FOR-A-CURE's campaign, but to LLS's mission as a whole. NO donation is too small, so thank you to everyone who has contributed!!

Team FOR-A-CURE

Nov 25, 2024
I joined the Student Visionaries of the Year program because cancer has deeply affected my family: I lost both my aunt and uncle to this devastating disease. Watching my aunt, jaundiced and withering, as my family slowly lost hope was heartbreaking, and it lit a fire in me to help create change. I’ve also had the privilege of volunteering at the Cancer Institute of New Jersey, where I support Hispanic families as they navigate the overwhelming challenges of cancer care. Simple acts like bringing patients water or speaking with them in their native language are small gestures, but they remind me how vital patient support is, and how much more we can achieve through united efforts. Through the Student Visionaries program and my team, Team For a Cure, I am determined to help bring the resources and hope that my family wished for but couldn’t access. Our goal for our campaign is to raise $100,000. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society provides support and research funding that can change lives, and together, we can help Gen Z be the last generation to know the pain of cancer. I’m finding my own closure by working toward this goal, but I need your help. This is our chance to make a lasting impact, to ensure that families everywhere have the resources and care they need to keep faith alive. Thank you for considering this cause—I am honored to be part of this fight, and I know we can make a real difference together.

Visionaries look to the future—and see infinite possibility.
They challenge the status quo—and make the impossible possible.
They boldly imagine a better world – and lead the charge to create it.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society was built on that same vision - of a better world - one without blood cancers.

I am a visionary; I have a vision for a world without cancer, but I need your help.

This year, I’m proud to be a part of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Student Visionaries of the Year Campaign, working to raise as much as possible for LLS’s mission.

As a global leader in the fight against blood cancer, LLS:

  • Funds cutting-edge research leading to breakthroughs in immunotherapy, genomics and personalized medicine that are improving and saving the lives of patients
  • Provides free education and support for blood cancer patients and families, including personalized, one-on-one support, assistance with identifying and enrolling in clinical trials, and more.
  • Mobilizes thousands of advocates to drive policy changes that accelerate the development of new cancer treatments and break down barriers to care.

Please consider joining this fight by making a donation. All donations are greatly appreciated and tax-deductible. Please visit my website often and tell friends who would also like to donate!

Thanks to your support, my efforts will help ensure this generation is the last to see cancer.

On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere, thank you!
