Alessandra's Student Visionaries of the Year Fundraiser

Dec 09, 2024

Welcome to my Fundraising Page!

I encouarge you to join me by supporting The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) by donating to my fundraising campagin. By donating to us, you are supporting the groundbreaking research LLS invests in, providing education and support to patients, and advocating at the state and federal level for legislation to help those living with cancer. I deeply appericiate your support and donations, each and every dollar donated to LLS brings us closer to our goal to end blood cancer and makes an impact for cancer patients and their families.

I are honored to be nominated for our team, Team ‘4 the Cure’ and represent Bridgewater Raritan High School in the local Student Visionaries of the Year competition. Our 7-week North New Jersey Student Visionaries of the Year campaign kicks off on January 8th, 2025 and concludes with our Grand Finale on March 1st, 2025.

I am participating in the Student Visionaries of the Year campaign because I want to help make a difference. My grandmother and uncle both suffered and passed away from cancer. I have also seen cancer impact a classmate my own age and the ripple effect it had on myself and the community. During her hard journey of struggling with cancer, she attended one of the LLS events for children with cancer which inspired me to work with this amazing organization. This will be a very skill-building project and I am very excited to take it on.

Another erason why I am participating in this fundraising campagin is to support our Honored Hero, Jordan! He is who we are raising funds in honor for. Jordan is 9 years old and was diagnosed with B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia when he was 6 years old. He spent 6 weeks in the hospital receiving more than 6 bone marrow extracts. Thanks to the support of his sister, bestie, and stuffed monkey Banana, Jordan earned his survivor badge from his medical team at St. Joseph’s University Medical center in January of 2024 and was declared cancer free.

Once again, I encourage you to support the LLS through my fundraising campagin to help make a difference and help us find a cure for blood cancer.

Alessandra's Student Visionaries of the Year Fundraiser

Oct 17, 2024

Visionaries look to the future—and see infinite possibility.
They challenge the status quo—and make the impossible possible.
They boldly imagine a better world – and lead the charge to create it.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society was built on that same vision - of a better world - one without blood cancers.

I am a visionary; I have a vision for a world without cancer, but I need your help.

This year, I’m proud to be a part of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Student Visionaries of the Year Campaign, working to raise as much as possible for LLS’s mission.

As a global leader in the fight against blood cancer, LLS:

  • Funds cutting-edge research leading to breakthroughs in immunotherapy, genomics and personalized medicine that are improving and saving the lives of patients
  • Provides free education and support for blood cancer patients and families, including personalized, one-on-one support, assistance with identifying and enrolling in clinical trials, and more.
  • Mobilizes thousands of advocates to drive policy changes that accelerate the development of new cancer treatments and break down barriers to care.

Please consider joining this fight by making a donation. All donations are greatly appreciated and tax-deductible. Please visit my website often and tell friends who would also like to donate!

Thanks to your support, my efforts will help ensure this generation is the last to see cancer.

On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere, thank you!
