I am truly passionate about this cause because so many people, both adults and children, suffer from blood cancers. For example, my little brother Luke was diagnosed with Leukemia when he was a baby, so we have witnessed first hand its demoralizing effects on both the person themselves and their families. He endured Chemotherapy for 3 years before finally and thankfully entering remission. My parents had to balance constant hospital visits with caring for 4 other children; needless to say, it was an extremely difficult time.  The fundamental goal of our campaign is to raise awareness of the scourge of blood cancers and to help realize a world in which no life is lost to a blood cancer and no child or family has ever to experience the trauma Luke and his family experienced.
