I have signed up to save lives with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) and am working to raise as much as possible over the next 7 weeks. Every dollar raised counts as one vote for my campaign. The candidate whose team tallies the most votes earns the prestigious title of Student or Students of the Year. Will you help me earn that title?
 
As you know, everyone wins when cancer loses. Thanks to your support, my efforts will help fund therapies and treatments that are saving lives. Over the years, support from people like you has been responsible for the blood cancer advancements that have doubled, tripled, and in some cases quadrupled the survival rate for some blood cancers.

Many LLS-supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are also now used to treat patients with rare forms of stomach and skin cancers and are in clinical trials for patients with lung, brain, breast, pancreatic and prostate cancers. And LLS-funded drugs like targeted therapies and immunotherapies are now saving thousands of lives every day.

Whether it is a family member, friend, or loved-one, cancer effects everyone. Every THREE minutes someone is diagnosed with a type of blood cancer. I truly believe we can be the generation that cures cancer. When I am older, I hope to become a cancer researcher, and help battle this life-threatening disease. Until then, I hope to help in as many ways as possible. Through LLS, team Blood Bound CAN cure cancer. 

If our group fundraisers $50k then we get to link our team to a cancer research grant! This would be super amazing for our team as most of us hope to go into the biology field as careers. 

I am extremely lucky to have the honor of taking on the name of Team Blood Bound. Last year, the Davisson family was able to fundraise $177,000, in JUST 7 weeks. They were the top team in New Jersey, and I hope to do the same again this year.
