Four years ago, my father was diagnosed with cancer. The strongest man I know, climbing mountains in the Rockies one week, in emergency surgery the next. His illness took the life out of him before we knew it would kill him. I never would have imagined something like this could have possibly happened to him, or to our family, but unfortunately, cancer has no limitations and will affect anyone it can take hold of. As this new reality set in, I turned my fear and intimidation of the disease into a passion for curing it.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society has the same passion. This year, I’m proud to be a part of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Student Visionaries of the Year Campaign, working to raise as much as possible for LLS’s mission.
