Grace Goodman | Team Eagle Mission...Soaring Above Cancer
Grace's Students of the Year Fundraiser
I am honored to announce that I have been offered an incredible opportunity to help the 1.3 million Americans who are living with blood cancers. My name is Grace Goodman, and I am a junior at New Albany High School. Each year, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) Central Ohio Chapter launches its Students of the Year fundraising campaign. This year, I have been nominated as New Albany High School’s candidate for the 2022 campaign, along with my friend Abby Bojko. We will be leading New Albany’s team Eagle Mission… Soaring above Cancer in the fight.
This fight against blood cancers is personal to me and my family. I decided to run for Student of the Year in memory of our super close family friend, Howard Natal, who unfortunately lost his battle to Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL) and in honor of my Aunt Charlotte who has been seven years healthy from B-Cell Lymphoma. Unfortunately, like me, many of you also have personal connections or know people. Understanding what they have gone through because of cancer is really terrible and eye-opening. Fundraising for LLS gives us the opportunity to actively fight back; all the money raised goes towards research and care of those with blood cancer.
During the 2022 campaign, from January 22nd to March 11th, our team goal is to raise $15,000 which will go directly to LLS in support of their longstanding mission to cure blood cancers and improve the quality of life for patients and their families. LLS has invested nearly $1.3 BILLION into cutting-edge research, funding nearly all of today’s most promising advances. We are working hard to reach this goal, but we need your help.
Will you please join our efforts by making a fully tax-deductible donation to LLS? We hope you will say “YES!” If you prefer traditional mail, please fill out the attached donation form and return it to me at: 7751 Aspinwall South, New Albany, OH 43054. Don’t forget to spread the word to your friends and families! With your help and support, saving lives can begin today, and cancer can become a thing of the past.
If you have any questions or want more information, please feel free to contact me at ggoods614@gmail.com or (614) 370-8007. Thank you so much for helping us strive to create a world without blood cancer. I appreciate your support and generosity.
