               My name is Cory Wu. I am 15 years old and a sophomore at Columbus Academy High School. I have the honor of running as a candidate for Student of the Year for the  Central Ohio Chapter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. I am running alongside my classmate and friend Alexander Nanda and Alicia Deng.
               I accepted the nomination to run for Student of the Year because during the COVID-19 pandemic, many of my extracurriculars were rescheduled. I found myself with a lot more time, and decided I had to do something, anything, to give as much as I could back our beloved communities. I am fortunate not to have a family friend or close friend suffering from blood cancer, but I believe in a world where no one has to.
              During this campaign, from February 25th to April 16th, our team goal is to raise $40,000 which will go directly to LLS in support of their longstanding mission to cure blood cancers and improve the quality of life for patients and their families. We are working hard to reach this goal, but we can’t do it alone!

On behalf of cancer patients and their families everywhere, I sincerely thank you for your support! Thank you so much for your generosity and for helping us create a world without blood cancer.
