Dear Family and Friends,
We hope you’re doing great! It is Devan (Davey) Agrawal, Dhruv Edamadaka, and Raaghuv Vazirani writing to you.
Us three have been blessed and are beyond grateful to be in good health; however, right now, nearly 1.2 million Americans live with blood cancer.
We have been given the opportunity of a lifetime to help these people. Each year, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) Central Ohio Chapter launches its Students of the Year fundraising campaign. This year, we were nominated as candidates in the 2021 campaign and will be leading team ‘22 Cancer Crew in the fight against blood cancer with a goal of raising $22,000.
Our campaign is dear to our heart. We are not only participating in this campaign to help those who live with cancer now, but also because cancer has affected our lives personally.
Dhruv's uncle, Dr. Raju Patnam, passed away last year from Lung cancer, and Dhruv's family has experienced an emotional impact as his uncle leaves behind two young school kids, his loving wife, and many loving family members. Dhruv's Religious teacher's wife, Mrs. Usha Aswath has been battling brain cancer—Glioblastoma-4—since last year. Lastly, about two months ago, Davey’s Mom, Rita, won her fight with breast cancer.
Giving others the opportunity to win this battle with cancer is something that we are deeply passionate about.
We wanted to reach out to you and ask if you wanted to consider contributing to our team's efforts. If you are able to, any contribution helps. We greatly appreciate your consideration in helping us fulfill this passion of ours.
