Last year, I was honored to be named the 2018 Student of the Year alongside my co-candidate, Isabel Sweet. With the help of our team, Bears Against Blood Cancer, Isabel and I ran a seven week campaign to raise funds and awareness for Blood Cancers. At the end of the seven weeks, we had raised $17,000 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS)! I have been given the amazing opportunity to participate in this program for a second year; this time as a team member! My good friends, Gwen Peters and Elizabeth Kane, are co-candidates in this year's competition and I couldn't be more excited to be a member of their fundraising team. Our team, Bears Against Blood Cancer, will be competing against other teams in Central Ohio in attempt to raise the most money. All proceeds will be given to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, an amazing non-profit organization that funds blood cancer research.  

Every ten minutes, someone dies from blood cancer. This is a heart breaking statistic that I hope will one day be nonexistent. However, I can't do it alone! This year, Bears Against Blood Cancer has a lofty fundraising goal and I would greatly appreciate any help you can give. Please support me and my team by making a donation!
