The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society was built on that same vision - of a better world - one without blood cancers.

I am a visionary; I have a vision for a world without cancer, but I need your help.

This year, I’m proud to be a part of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Student Visionaries of the Year Campaign, working to raise as much as possible for LLS’s mission.

As a junior in high school, it can be hard to see past my time doing theater, HOSA, and other extracurriculars, and see the problems in our world, let alone do something about it. But, after researching about shocking statistics such as how a staggering 33% of blood cancer patients do not survive 5 years after diagnosis, I knew I had to act so that this wasn't the case in the future. That's why I'm supporting the LLS mission of creating a world free of blood cancers. 
 

With team Cures Start Here taking an emphasis in advocacy for patients, we are fighting to make sure that patients are receiving accessible, equitable, and quality care; no matter where they are from. Whether these actions of advocacy be through increasing the diversity within clinical trials, or ensuring that patients are able to afford life saving treatment, or fighting for patients to recieve the fair care that they deserve by working to improve and input new laws.
