I am so honored to be a part of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) to help raise awareness and funds for blood cancers. My aunt was diagnosed with Primary Mediastinal B-cell Lymphoma, a variation of Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma, in 2004. Because of funded cancer research like LLS, she is now the healthiest she has been in decades. My aunt beat this terrible disease, and after hearing her story, I want to help as many others I can by being involved in this fight. My personal fundraising goal for LLS this year is $15,000.

LLS invests in research leading to advancement in immunotherapy, genomics, and personalized medicine that enhance and save the lives of patients; provides free education and support for blood cancer patients and families; and mobilizes thousands of advocates to drive policy changes that accelerate the development of new cancer treatments and break down barriers by supporting patients and their families during this tough time. By donating to LLS, you are supporting the many facets of LLS's mission. I cannot express my appreciation for all your support. All the money you donate goes directly to LLS, helps our goal of ending blood cancer, and greatly impacts the lives of patients and their families.

This year, I decided to create and lead Team Hopeful Hearts with Mia Gravina under the pillar of patient support. We have wonderful team members and an outstanding campaign manager, and we all have the same passion to raise as much money as possible for blood cancer patients' support and comfort. Every three minutes a person is diagnosed with blood cancer, and unfortunately 33% do not survive five years after their diagnosis. This needs to change. As one of the leaders of team Hopeful Hearts, I have a vision for a world without cancer, but I need your help.
