Hi, I'm Rory. That's me, second from the right in the family photo. 

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​I am a 15-year-old sophomore in high school and busy in multiple sports and clubs, including swim team, Model UN, Spanish Club, Robotics and my neighborhood charity.

However, this fundraising campaign stands apart from my other activities.

I joined the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Student Visionaries of the Year campaign because it allows me to make a difference and support life-changing medical research. This research has the potential to help countless people around the world as well as my own family.

In the last decade, my family has been devastated by various diseases -- my aunt Tricia died of breast cancer in 2013, my uncle is battling stage-IV breast cancer right now, my grandma suffers from meniere's disease, my grandpa is battling kidney cancer and a rare muscle disease, my mom is fighting multiple sclerosis, and my dad struggles with skin cancer. I'm participating in this campaign in memory and honor of all of them.
