Lauren and Emily's Student Visionaries of the Year Chicago Fundraiser
Hello, we are Lauren and Emily Morton. We are both students at Prospect High School. Lauren is a junior and is a proud Prospect Marching Knight, she plays piccolo and flute in symphonic orchestra and symphonic band. Emily is a freshman and a varsity cheerleader and dances for the Arlighton dance Academy in their Ensemble. We're both very busy and have full schedules, but LLS is something that we were compelled to make time for.
We were inspired by past student visionaries of the year and over the past couple of years we have learned much about LLS, their mission, and the important work they do. LLS works hard not only towards a cure for blood cancers, but also works to provide support for families affected by these cancers. Unfortunately we know how a cancer diagnosis is hard on everyone in the family, LLS works to lighten the load of medical bills and provide counseling.
This year, we're proud to be a part of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Student Visionaries of the Year Campaign, working to raise as much as possible for LLS’s mission.
As a global leader in the fight against blood cancer, LLS:
- Funds cutting-edge research leading to breakthroughs in immunotherapy, genomics and personalized medicine that are improving and saving the lives of patients
- Provides free education and support for blood cancer patients and families, including personalized, one-on-one support, assistance with identifying and enrolling in clinical trials, and more.
- Mobilizes thousands of advocates to drive policy changes that accelerate the development of new cancer treatments and break down barriers to care.
Please consider joining this fight by making a donation. All donations are greatly appreciated and tax-deductible. Please visit our website often and encourage friends to donate!
Thanks to your support, our efforts will help ensure this generation is the last to see cancer.
On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere, thank you!
